One of the fantastic recent additions to Sage CRM is the E-Marketing feature. If you haven’t used it or only glanced at the first few screens, now is the time to take advantage of your purchase. E-Marketing can appear intimidating at first look but after you learn basics, it’s simple to navigate and get your campaigns rolling out.

Find E-Marketing

To find E-marketing, click Marketing on the left-side of the screen. This will take you to the Campaign List Screen where you can view the names and dates of all your Active, Cancelled or finished Campaigns. If you haven’t created any Campaigns yet, this list will be empty. Click on the E-Marketing Tab at the top of the page. This will bring you to the E-marketing Campaigns screen. Unlike the last screen, the E-Marketing Campaigns screen will only contain the email campaigns you sent out through E-Marketing. On the right-side of screen, click Edit E-mail Templates. Before you start a New E-Marketing Campaign or New Drip Marketing Campaign, you will need to edit the template.

Templates

The Template Manager screen gives you several options. You can preview the E-Marketing templates under the Global Templates tab to find one that best fits the type of campaign you are creating. When you find one you want to edit, highlight the name and click the Copy To Local button. This places the template under the Local Templates tab at the top of the screen. If you already have an HTML-based template created from another program, you can upload to E-Marketing by clicking the Import Template Tab at the top of the page and choosing it from your local PC files. This will place it in your Local Templates for you to edit further or begin your campaign.

Once you have chosen your templates and added them to the Local Templates, Click on the Local Templates Tab, highlight the template you would like work with and click Edit on the right-side of the screen. This will take you into edit mode to modify your templates.

In the next Installment, I will walk you through how to edit your templates, upload images, send test emails and start your campaign.
