Combine the strengths of CRM and ERP
Integrating CRM and ERP combines the strengths of both systems.
See below for video and instructions on how to integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales with Dynamics NAV:
Part 1: Integrate Dynamics 365 for Sales with Dynamics NAV
PLEASE NOTE: You will need global administrator rights to integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales with Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
1.) Log into Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
2.) Go into Search on the top right hand side and enter “CRM” in the search field.
3.) Click Microsoft Dynamics CRM Connection Setup to bring up the setup screen.
When you initially set this up, these fields will all be empty. I’ve already set this up before, which is why the fields are already populated in my walk-through video.
4.) Click Assisted Setup, then click Next.
If you have already completed this step before, you will be asked to confirm that you wish to re-run Assisted Setup. In that case, you will click Assisted Setup, then Yes on the confirmation screen, and then Next.
5.) Enter your Dynamics CRM URL.
6.) Enter global admin credentials into both pairs of account/password fields and click Next.
7.) Make sure Import Dynamics CRM Solution, Publish Item Availability Webservice, and Enable Dynamics CRM Connection are all checked, then click Finish.
This will publish the solution in Dynamics 365 for Sales CRM, and also fill in the information that you can see on this screen:
Dynamics Nav and Dynamics 365 for Sales are now integrated. In the next video, we’ll have a look at how to couple or set up that account integration between the two systems.
