How to Sync Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 for Sales Records
Complete your Dynamics CRM and ERP integration
This week in Microsoft Dynamics Support, we’ll be looking at how to sync Dynamics NAV ERP and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales CRM records.
You’ll first need to integrate Dynamics 365 for Sales with Dynamics NAV. You can find instructions on how to integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales with Dynamics NAV here.
Once you have set up your Microsoft CRM/ERP integration, see below for video and instructions on how to sync Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 for Sales records:
Part 2: Sync Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 for Sales
If you have not yet set up Dynamics 365 for Sales CRM and Dynamics NAV ERP integration, see Part 1 here.
1.) Log into Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
2.) Click on Customers, then choose a customer record you want to sync.
3.) Choose the Navigate tab from the top menu, then click on Coupling > Set Up Coupling.
Now you have the option to use either the NAV data or the CRM data in both systems.
4.) In the drop-down menu next to Synchronize After Coupling, choose Yes – Use the Dynamics NAV Data OR Yes – Use the Dynamics CRM Data.
In my video, I brought the CRM data into NAV by choosing Yes – Use the Dynamics CRM Data.
5a.) If you want to sync with an existing account: Under Dynamics CRM, select the CRM account you want to sync with, then click OK.
In my example, I chose an existing account, but you’ll also have the option to create a new account in CRM in case you don’t have an existing account to sync with.
5b.) If you want to create a new account: Under Dynamics CRM, select Create New, then click OK.
When you click OK, the system will sync Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 for Sales.
6.) Click OK again once the sync has completed.
